The Department of History at UIC would not be what it is today without the generous support of individuals whose contributions help to support the Department in a number of ways. Most of our research awards for graduate and undergraduate study are funded through private donations. One recent and especially generous gift has allowed the creation of the endowed Stefan and Lucy Hejna Chair in Polish History.
